Jacob Swartz

As the Director of Research, and a Private Client Adviser, at Main Street Research, Jacob is responsible for leading our research activities and delivering exceptional results for our clients by utilizing his extensive knowledge in portfolio construction, security, and market analysis. He is dedicated to providing white glove service to our clients, ensuring their needs and goals are met while putting them at the forefront of all investment decisions. Jacob's client-first attitude and in-depth portfolio management and analysis knowledge make him a valuable asset to our team and clients.

Jacob brings a wealth of experience in research, portfolio management, and client service to our team, having previously served as a Senior Portfolio Risk and Analytics Specialist at Bloomberg LP, where he honed his skills in portfolio optimization, performance backtesting, and scenario analysis. Additionally, he trained and worked with money managers on various aspects of data analysis and Terminal functionality, understanding various strategies used throughout the industry. Jacob graduated from Chapman University, Argyros School of Business and Economics with a Bachelor of Science Management (BS) in Finance and holds a Series 65 securities license.

In his free time, Jacob is an avid kiteboarder, rock climber, and cyclist. He is based out of our headquarters in Sausalito, CA.
